About the Kibbutz

Kibbutz Yad Mordechai is located in southern Israel, 10 km south of Ashkelon. It was established in 1943.

Population: approx. 520 per.

Yad Mordechai’s main lines of business are agriculture, tourism, industry, and various entrepreneurs.

The kibbutz has a museum devoted to Mordechai Anielewicz, who died fighting the Nazis while being the commander of the Jewish Fighting Organization in the Warsaw Ghetto, one of only two Holocaust museums located on a kibbutz.
